Stowe Yacht Club and The Commodores Inn held this annual event on the pond behind the Inn, in Stowe, Vermont. The regatta is part of the New England Cup Championship Series and is the 2018 Region 1 Championship. There were only 12 competitors on the starting line this year, including 4 from Canada.

The weather was challenging, with very variable winds, in force and direction, but warmer temperatures than last year.

Due to the small number of boats, we held the races as a single fleet. This allowed 14 races on day 1 and 11 on day 2, for a total of 25 if my math is correct.

I said single fleet, bu actually we had 2 : One with Chuck Millican alone, who was out of reach of anyone, with 38 points, 27 points ahead of the second, 11 bullets and 6 second places. Don Ouimette led the « second » fleet with 65 points, followed by a near tie between Rob Hill third with 80 points 3 first and Edward Wolfe fourth with also 80 points but i first only.

The rest of the fleet included, in order, Dave Branning, Bruce Nourjian, Paul Switzer, George Townsend, Bob Boutillier, Gary Budgen, Jeff Gros and Jim Goddard.
